Completely unattended, safely purifying solvents at normal pressure and low temperature! An example of DMSO-d6 is introduced.

We purify and recover expensive solvents, such as deuterated solvents used in NMR measurements, which are used in small quantities for reuse. Here, we introduce the example of DMSO-d6. DMSO-d6 (deuterated dimethyl sulfoxide) is a solvent used in NMR measurements, with a boiling point of 189°C and a melting point of 20°C. By using "Salt Mini," it is easy to purify, recover, and reuse DMSO-d6. Simply set the waste solvent and turn on the power; after that, you can leave it completely unattended while safely purifying the solvent at normal pressure and low temperature. [Recommended conditions for DMSO purification using Salt Mini] ■ Evaporation section (heating section) set temperature: 80°C… a temperature that achieves a practical purification rate ■ Condensation section (cooling section) set temperature: 21°C… DMSO-d6's freezing point = 20°C ■ Air blowing amount setting value: 7.0–9.0… equivalent to a flow rate of 1.8–2.1 L/min ■ Pressure: normal pressure… standard condition for Salt Mini *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

HFIP (hexafluoroisopropanol) is one of the few solvents that can dissolve many crystalline polymers. HFIP is an expensive solvent, with a price of around 100,000 yen per kilogram. While it is likely possible to purify and reuse HFIP by setting up a glass distillation apparatus yourself, many research and development environments face challenges in doing so. By introducing "Solpure," it is possible to significantly enhance the convenience, safety, and precision of HFIP distillation and purification. **Issues during HFIP distillation and purification:** - Due to its weight, a sturdy fixation is necessary when setting up larger equipment. - Care must be taken with pipes, seals, and grease that come into contact with HFIP vapor. - Although its toxicity is low, it has a strong odor and corrosiveness, making handling difficult. - It easily absorbs water, so a process to remove water is usually required. - Quality checks after purification are necessary. - Distillation and purification of one gallon bottle takes about two days. - High costs are incurred even when disposing of waste. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
